- new one is over 20k and perhaps 2nd hand at abt 18k seen before

Can't use its upsamping 192 , must use with northstar dac

not sure but 192 MKII upsamples the signal first before sending to DAC.

forget the upsampling and it still a good choice for cd pro 2 at the said price range.

I am using the North star Excelsio dac without upsampling with old Meridien turntable and still get very good result.
Upsampling perhaps just bonus.

Then what is your purpose for buying a 30K music server in the first place ?
Only for Hires/DSD files playback?
It is understandable if u intended to add a LP source in your system cause they are from different mothers, Analog vs Digital.
But having a quality music server already and intended to add a CD transport.................sounds a bit strange to me.
What if you found the CD transport sounds better than your Aurender or vice versa ? Afterall, they are from same kind of source/media (CD).
Of course this is your money at the end and as long as you spent them happily, none of my business really!
I just feel that you are "circling" (兜緊圈) in this way!
