If your listening area is 250 sq feet, I suggest you to take S3.
IMHO S1 should be used for <200 sq feet area.

Agreed. But I would pay a bit more for Q1 instead of S1.

It's their practice to quote a very very unreasonable price at first. After audition, you should ask them for the actual price and they will give you around 30% discount of their original quoted price. For my S1, the initial price quoted to me is 160K, which is crazy. Btw, if your listening area is around 250 sq ft, you should go for S3 or Rockport Technologies Atria. Atria is originally my first choice, however it's too big for my listening area, so I go for S1.

Sorry! I didnt know Q1 is a lot more expensive. Although I dont know its exact selling price, performance wise is nowhere close to Q1. Therefore if your space is 250', by all means get S1; otherwise Q1 is the choice albeit you will be looking at a different price tag !

I believe the price of Q1 is around 200K, much like its predecessor Mini II. But I didn't bother to ask because it is out of my league for now.

So you had a chance to listen to it? If yes, how did it sound? Clinical like someone said or transparent? I think Magico's sound is not sweet or relax, I think Alon Wolf prefers a more authentic (revealing) presentation...i.e. garbage in, garbage out.

I am not sure whether there is an increase within the recent 3 months or not.  

S1 M-CAST - $12,600

Q1 M-CAST - $26,500
Q1 Anodized - $28,950

I don't understand the logic of quoting high prices well beyond actual sale prices. Would it not scare away potential customers.

Extrapolating from the actual price of the S1, I would guess the price of the S3 should be in the $16x,xxx range.

Just want to know how to match the gear with S1 or coming S3 (waiting for audition)! It's better come with huge power amp mostly?
Same to you I like the sound of tube amp and class-A amp. And I think VTL is fine matched with Magico cos it gets high power perform.
I auditioned the Q1 and Q3. Both great but expensive!
My target is S1 or S3! and which is better for only 190 sq feet you think?

I auditioned S1 using Focus Audio Prelude integrated tube amp and the performance is really quite good, if you mostly listen to large scale orchestral music, high power amp (i.e. 100W+ into 8ohms) will be better.

For 190 sq feet, I think both S1 and S3 should be OK, If you like deep base, S3 will be better as it can goes down to 26Hz. However, as S3 has 2 additional woofers when compared to S1, you should bear in mind that it will need lots of power to drive it.

Personally, I think S3 will be in the price range between 165K to 175K, if you go for S1, the price should be under 100K, don't pay more.
