I also had a pair of Acoustic Reality eAR 1001 6 years ago, I used it to drive a pair of C1, and sold them 3 years ago when I bought the Gryphon Daiblo.

1001我都玩過，當年有大c話勁過mark仔33後級，咁我當然即買，後來發現原來高音係唔多掂，所以放棄走左去玩蛋機。

但果時係咸豐年，現在的ncore已經好唔同，我知因為我已經係朋友家聽過，進步非同少可！就算係幾年前的ucd，即nad3020，我有買來玩，都發現已經好過icepower。

Such strong dynamic amp is very wonderful for movie.  No matter what the volume is, no matter what the sudden change is, the sound comes with any hesitation.  The beat is very very strong.

If your speakers are some kind of power hunger or monster need to be tamed properly, it's a very wonderful choice at this price range.

Class D is on the way shifting to GanFET rather than MOSFET using now. Don't rush into old technology.

Be open mind! I never care what class the amp was using, provided it gives good performance. That's enough!

I can't tell as I didn't own and test with this speakers.
But you may take the reference in the #1 that a c-hing was using this amp to drive his Magico Q3 happily.  AFAIK, he is still using this combination happily.

I am also looking at the Nord HypeX amplifier but for home theater application.
The price seems really a good deal comparing to those traditional power amp or even ATI AT52XNC.

If you're not solely concentrate on the tone and colour of the sound, then your body will breathe and the heart will beat with the beat and rhythm.  Particularly while enjoying the movie, such sharp punch with endless power, I suggest you watch your speakers capacity.
