Just have W4S Music Server-2 connected to Wyred4Sound DAC2. Now I have I2S 24/192 signal to drive DAC2. That is wonderful sound. I have taken a few picture this morning after I tested it.



ipad running "mPaD" to control W4S MS2.


I also use iphone to control W4S MS2. Chinese and Japanese are no problem at all.



Having more hands-on with it now and so far so good.

mpad 要比錢下载嗎? iphone/ipad communicate with MS2 via wifi? If I don't use NAS and computer, can I use iphone to conrtol MS2?

mPod is free.  run on iphone. Work very well with MS-2.
mPad is only US$3 or so.  I cannot remember.  I don't mind pay for it as it is very well written.

In fact, it is the picture taken on iphone running mpod.

Thx ching，but the bad news to me is that I2S output cable seems HDMI ，
not suitabale for my DAC！

I think I2S over HDMI cable will give plenty of audiophile grade digital cable to choose from.  

LVDS differential I2S over HDMI compatibility is good among different products.  In fact, they work closely.  The LVDS is balanced signal to support longer cable which is very important to I2S.

Please note that even both source and DAC use RJ45 physical standard does not mean they are compatible.  See the following link.

For 5pin DIN, the concern is that you cannot find good digital cable for that.

I hope the one you have is RJ45, not 5pin DIN la.  Hope the compatibility table helps you.  Good luck.

No. W4S products can configure the voltage in factory. However, it is not for customer to change  ...

for DAC2, the factory can install a switch inside for you to change the input voltage, just add a few dollars

W4S US support is very good

I am using the DAC2 as ordinary DAC with the Sony SCD-777ES, it sound nice and high in C/P ratio!
