Rover  兄，try the VPS. It will much much outperforme your expectation. Evev though it costs around 4x,xxx brand new, it can deliver every cent you spent.

Just upgrade nagra PLP from PLL.
Want change tube of PLP, inside PLP have dividle 3parts for change tube?
Part one 12ax7 & 12at7 for phone amp
Part two 1 x 12at7, 2 x 12ax7 for input stage
Part three 1 x 12at7, 2 x 12ax7 for output stage.
Please clarify if i wrong.
Due to i want to replace (1 x GEC A2900, 2 x valvo 12ax7 long plate 45degree head)
to input stage.
Output stage replace 1 x telefunken ECC801S, 2 X 12AX7 at output stage need find other good tubes.

Instead of GEC A2900 for 12AT7, you may wish to also try Valvo 6201 blue label, pinch-waist 3-mica gold-pin tubes as 12AT7

GEC A2900 is good for vocal but Valvo 6201 is better for instrumental However, 3-mica is better than 2-mica.

我試過帶PLL preamp to 友人家中, 配AA Amp II 好得, treble清爽、bass有勒勁、人声小甜! 正!

Of course, changing to:
- Valvo 6201 blue-label pinched-waist 3-mica gold-pin tube for 12at7, and
- Valvo 45 degree getter long-plate tube for 12ax7
help a lot in the sonic performance!

Also, changing the original PSU to Kingrex MK2 PSU (see bottom pictures) with silver-gold wire 12V dc cable plus silver fuse for PSU help further!

I use the VPS phono amp, want to try whether those ps and cable can improve or not.
