I don't comment on price, it just depends on our taste.
IMO, C2s and fact.8/12 both have same level resolution, otherwise I wouldn't change to fact8 from C1. At least I have experience on both speakers in same environment and equipments. therfore, I guess my experience is more relevant.
For mid, Obviously, PMC i or fact series have richer and smoother vocal than Dyna Confidence series . Dyna Confidence Signature series has a improvement on mid smoothness. I think the difference between Dyna and PMC is closer.
For bass, Dyna C2/C2s even C4/C4s is powerful, but maybe too powerful in many rooms. Especially the amp is not powerful enough to drive it, its bass will be too blur and boom. That was my home audition experience of C2/C2s. PMC fact's bass is much easier to play.
About your opinion on PMC showroom bass, maybe the damping of amp was too high, the bass was cut sharply, so we felt not enough. I like Fact.12's bass driven by AVM more, even fact.8's bass driven by my Burmester is more enjoyable.
