For grid and component protectors, there are many switches on two sides of the gears.  The sonic performance will be changed when the status of any switch changes.  Except the one used for powering on the gear, I do not know the exact functions of each switch.  Given than there are seven switches (not including the one for powering on) and each switch has three status to be adopted (small, off and large), the combinations of them are huge.  Without knowing the exact functions of each switch, it is extremely difficult to fine tune the system to the optimal condition.  Do anyone can tell me the functions of the switches and what are their diffenernce.

Maybe no user (or even the HK agency) knows the exact functions of each switches.  What a pitty!!!

The switches are control of the interfluence for difference frequencies range in your devices, cables or the room.      (depands on which protector you got) .  By switch it to   0,   1,  or 2.  you can reduce the level of interfluence so that more or less detail, dynamic you can hear.  On the other hand, you may adjust the sound according to the condition of your system to achieve an ideal sound reproduction.

At Avantgarde, we also new on Schnerzinger products.  We still learning day by day and we all feel so excited on how much improvement after adding on  Schnerzinger products.  Everyone are welcome to our showroom at both Central or Kowloon Bay for share your experience and enjoy music with such new level of standard.

I am aware, by try and error, that when I turn some switches to 2, more is on the high frequencies.
However, it is unclear which switches are related to which frequency range.  While 2 is for more, it is not sure whether 1 is less or more (but lesser than 2).  For the power on switches, what are the difference between 1 or 2 when the status of all other switches are zero?

I think these kinds of information are essential and basis information required by a serious user.

Can you (or other users) provide advice in the above matters?

Believe it or not , Schnerzinger X8000 XLR I/C did KO triple crown and Argento FMR EE .I thInk Schnerzinger cables will be the king especially in the high end sector !

Luckily, there is no switch in the cable. Otherwise, we have to guess how to use it

Why don't you WhatsApp Michael and I think he will tell you how to play with those switches!
I will have five protectors soon and I never worry about those switches !

I don't think it should be a secret and the agency should know how to use it.
In addition, this is a platform for users to exchange their views and knowledge.  Why can no users here can tell something about how the switches can be use?
Have no one known how to use it?  Just commenting the products positively without knowing how to use it to the optimum level.  I just want to get some basic information of the products here from the many users or the HK agency.

To be honest, I have the grid protector and component protector and find that they can improve the performance of my system.  But I want to get the most from them easily and conveniently.

please check pm, Michael knows your request and will give you full support, due to different music room condition, setting of buttons is different, 100 rooms have 100 combinations, normally require you to listen and setup  your own room....

I have sent a message to Michael and await his advice.

As you point out, there is numerous (100) combinations.  It is exactly for this reason, the users have to know more information on the switches so that there is no need to listen to the sound of these 100 combinations to make a decision as to which one is the best. It fact, the umber of combinations of just one protector is 3x3x3x3x3x3x3 (not counting the 2 statues of the power button).

I think the switches must be set by the users unless Michael sets it for you during home visit

If you are a hifi fever, you must have a passion to get the most from your existing audio system.
Having said that, it is not bad if one can be easily satisfied.

Michael has provided very useful advice on the set up of the grid protector.  I will follow this guideline to adjust the setting step by step so as to find which setting is most suitable for my envirnoment and me.
