Michael has provided very useful advice on the set up of the grid protector.  I will follow this guideline to adjust the setting step by step so as to find which setting is most suitable for my envirnoment and me.

Use your own ears to get the optimum result, chose the best one from  012 from no.2 to no.8 button, except the no.1 button for power on/off, very easy, I do not require a manual , even thought you set all to 0, the improvement was still stunning , if your system was correctly set up, otherwise, you have to examine whether there is set up positioning or connection problem, I 've experience that an audiophile had wrongly connected his positive and negative speaker wire, not the must, but just for an example.The more you belive your ears, the faster you set up your gear, otherwise, times spent without an outcome cos you are not sure, reset to 0 again, and starts from the beginning , setting up is always a learning curve, you will never knows where the interfere is strongest , discussion on button from me is stopped, right now, happy listening everyone.

More than happy to share what I know from Michael about how to use the buttons of the grid protector as it is nothing secret and this is, I think, one of the objectives of this forum.

For illustration purpose, the front button on the left side is called button 1 (someone calls it as power button, but according to Michael, it is not a power button) and the other buttons on the same side are called buttons 2, 3 & 4.  On the right side, the front button is called button 5 and the others are buttons 6,7 and 8.

According to Michael, for buttons 1 to 4, there are only two statuses which are "0" and "I" ("II" is not relevant).  For buttons 5 to 8, three statuses ("I", "0" and "II") can be set.  Buttons 1 to 4 are raw and more important and the other four buttons are for fine tuning.  The first step is to set all the buttons to status "0", then adjust the button in sequence (from button 1 to button 8).  Listen to  the sound when button 1 is at "0" and then change this button to "1".  Listen, compare and choose the one you perfer.  When the preference is not sure, make the comparson again.  Once a decision is made, apply the same step to the next button.

Make sure the phase is correct.  This is very important.  You may plug the protector to different power sockets or power bar to hear the difference and then decide which power socket/bar is used for the protector.

Hope this can help and wish others to share their knowledge and practical experience.
