VKCC C Hing, have you read my passage on the full review of the SF Amati Futura?  I can tell you with certainty this is a high end full range speaker and in many ways supersede the previous Anniversario model.  But you need to realize every high end sonus faber speaker will need a superb amplifier to match, and the bass is extremely difficult to get it right.  But once you get everything right, only one word would appear in your mind, that is.........MAGIC :)

That's not true, VKCC C Hing.  It's still a Sonus Faber in its DNA.  BTW, I wonder how many audiophiles in this world has actually compared all three generations of Amatis before giving out their comments.  Once an audiophile visited me, thinking I owned the 1st generation Amati.  But when he realized I am using the 2nd generation Amati, he left immediately without even spending one moment listening to it.  His comment was......"this is not a Sonus Faber, it's just an AV speaker".  Naturally this happened again with the new Amati.  But I won't say you should or should not buy this particular model because "taste" do varies tremendously among audiophiles.  May be if you do have a chance coming back to HK, the local dealer can arrange for a demonstration to you :)

Recently I change my set up from Ayre + JF 500 to Accuphase cdp + pre + amp.  Here is my setup.  I am still using my Cremona M - and loving it!
