Where have you been Poire Hing? Things change everyday. I'm building a battery powered head amp for the Denon DL-103, to be used in this tonearm.

By the way, as you may know DL-103 needs rather heavy weight (about 3grams), then it starts performing.

I brought an Outer Ring ttsuperring 1.15 kg together with ultimat copper carbon. This (outer ring) model is no longer in production. It is made of copper, so it may incur high cost.

Looking at the latest models, there are copper part underneath the outer ring.

Sure，I'll post some picts of the head amp in due course. For the DL-103，the plastic shell will be replaced with ebony to increase it's mass.

I think the size is not the main issue. It shall be able to stay on the edge of any vinyl.

Besides, your TT may not be able to support it (due to its weight). It is because when it is placed on a record, the spring platter may be too suppressed and TT may not turn properly.

So, do watch out!

Mine is DL-103r which was striped and replaced an aluminum body. It sounds much better.

Yes, you are so right! It could be an issue on my previous TT. I've changed the TT to RP8, so the spring of the platter may should be the issue anymore! However, the width of the ring could be! The space between the platter & the TA is about 2" or less. So if the width of the ring is wider than that, I may not be able to use it!

Congrats to your new TT. You are so right, make sure you have enough space between the tonearm and platter when fitting an outer ring.

The width of my outer ring is about 23mm.

Thanks for the info, so less than an inch should be fine
