Can't type Chinese in the office, great to know there are Stax users around, seems very few electrostatic headphone users in Hong Kong, maybe due to the humid weather?
Regarding the comparison between Metacarbon and Sakra, unfortunately, at least in my system, the Metacarbon just can not get even close...
I returned the Sakra yesterday, after went back home and listened to the music with metacarbon as usual, I suddenly realized the magic is gone. It was like fell from the heaven into....maybe not as bad as hell but definitely the ground.
The Sakra is more full bodied, more fluid, more harmonic, a total absence of "digital sound", at the same time, a major step-up in air, detail, and transparency. More importantly, the magic lies in the way how it renders music......I would call it ultimate musicality.
Sakra is far from neutral, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's ppl who do not like it. But to me it is one of the most amazing experience I've ever had in my whole audiophile life, as it completely blew away my skepticism about how one piece of wire can dramatically change the sound of a system.
Yes, it is that good.
