昨天上網看到這個Music Player.

直到現在它供能如下:

• Headless music server OS

• Easy configuration and installation through the web interface
• WiFi hotspot support (if compatible hardware exists)

初步了解, 這個軟件比我之前試過的Linux Music Player 易用好多, 只要開機再用 ipad / 其他電腦接上 http://daphile 便會見到個控制版本.

控制版本十分靚仔, 反應也很快, 有成似 squeezebox 的. 只是多了些額外功能如 rip CD, map drive 等等.

安裝要求:
一台 x86 電腦, 可以是 virtual machine
一隻usb 手指(512M) 或CDROM或硬盤(2G)

先download 個 Daphile ISO file:
http://www.daphile.com/#download
可以選32bit 或 64bit

跟住用軟件如Unetbootin (http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net) 把ISO抄上 USB 手指上便可用來 boot 機.
開左機 (約一分鐘內), 因為佢自己無使用界面, 你要找另一台機/IPAD 之類, 開 browser 輸入 http://daphile 便可使用.

如果你的機是插有歌的硬盤或USB手指, 你可即時播放. 如果歌放在NAS上, 你要在WEB界面填上相關資料. 如果你使用USB手指boot 機, 你設定的資料會儲存在USB手指上, 下次開機會留番, 但如果你用ISO去DVD/CDROM, 你的設定不會留低, 建議你去 "Settings" 版面選 "System Firmware" 把系統安裝在硬盤上 (預 2G 空位)

它是行Squeezebox Server + Squeezeplay 的. 但支援 DSD.

它自己是一個作業系統了, 當然你可以DUAL BOOT, 但我想揾一台電腦(Intel/AMD, notebook/desktop)專做會好D.

I think so, but those not USB Audio Class 2 may need preinstall Linux driver.
L.K.S. dual 9018 should be no problem, you may install it on VM to try.

btw, it's a freeware at this moment, but I don't know whether it is open source or not. It's still beta as I know.

可以.
佢用GRUB
你也可先安佢, 再安WINDOWS 7, WIN7 自己的BOOT LOADER可以dual boot Linux 的。

我未仔細試，因為無ＰＣ多出可試。暫時用ＵＳＢ手指同virtual machine玩過下。
MPD 有它的好處，　但如果Squeezeplay 可支援ＤＳＤ，我諗係多一個選擇。

出這post也只是想多些人用和分享意見，對於用邊隻，我個人沒有任何既定立場。始終這些軟件天天在變化，今天Ａ好似好過Ｂ，明天可能Ｂ的新版本又比Ａ好。再講，聽感取決於好多因素，軟件只是當中一個因素。我是不會也不能有立場的。

如果是 headless streamer, 這個是我暫時見的比較易用。
好的定義人人唔同，但如果setup music streamer 你跟我一樣，想簡單，易用又ＯＫ好聲，呢個可以試下。

可以用任何PC, 我會用Atom PC.
